SOURCES

Where the news comes from.

Teletext.ie is an Irish news service that summarises the day’s reporting into two finite editions, at 06:00 and 18:00 Irish time. The reporting comes from three Irish newsrooms: The Irish Times, RTÉ News and the Irish Independent. We don’t do original reporting — we read it, check it, compress it to three facts, and name the source on every story.

How Teletext.ie uses its sources

Where does Teletext.ie get its news?

Teletext.ie gets its news from three Irish newsrooms — The Irish Times, RTÉ News and the Irish Independent — via their public feeds, checked against the original article.

No — Teletext.ie does no original reporting. It summarises published journalism into three checked facts per story and always names the newsroom that did the work.

Every Teletext.ie story names its source and links the original reporting. We never republish photographs. If the source corrects, we correct — see Corrections.

A named editor checks every summary against the original reporting and signs it before publication. The method is on How We Summarise; what the machine does versus what a person signs is in the AI Policy.
